kane county cougars vs. west michigan whitecaps

Saturday we went to the Cougars game. We got a whole bunch of tickets behind home plate and invited the Hamptons, Lanzaras, and Jamie and Nicole brought Austin, Becca and Rachel. The weather was absolutely perfect for a ballgame. Jacob and Carter were so cute singing Take Me Out to the Ballgame as we walked to the gate. The cougars won 5 to 2! We saw one homerun during the game. We also saw three skydivers just before fireworks - it was incredible! We spotted a plane in the black black sky and watched it circle around . Next, three neon bright skydivers floated closer to the ground, then suddenly it seemed out of nowhere one at a time they came from behind us and onto the field! So cool! We enjoyed a fireworks show and all the kids got to run the bases. Logan wasn't feeling too great. Maybe the humidity or heat from earlier in the day. He mostly laid low and I even thought about leaving with him, but he perked up and ate a little, danced and cheered. But by the end of the night again, the popcorn and nachos caught up with him.
Pictures to come...

a day at the park

Saturday morning the boys and I took a stroll to the park before it got too too hot. We had the whole place to ourselves! Of course Carter being the friendly guy that he is would shout out to the neighborhood, "Hello, everybody! Come outside and visit the park...I'd love to play with you!" I love how Logan doesn't need anyone else. He's happy on his own or just follows Carter up the ladders, up the steps, down the slides and says "choo-choo" as he rocks and rocks with all his might on the little black train. Oh, and now that Carter can swing all alone, Logan's got me all to himself and can try out the big swings too.
