goodbye batman and robin

Well, this post is a sad one...Last night the boys worked hard with Daddy cleaning out the fishtank - pebbles, plants, walls and all. The pump hasn't been working right so we thought after a good cleaning (following all the directions we read in the book) we'd get a new pump today. Unfortunately, Batman and Robin, Carter's two fishies, didn't make it through the night. We said our "goodbyes" and sent them on their way. It was a hard morning of little whimpers and some tears (coming from both Carter and me...) but he's dealt quite nicely with it. After an early call to Jamie - "she should know, she bought them" - He's even able to remember the good times...

"Mom, you didn't know this but when I'd get dressed by myself when you weren't in my room, Batman and Robin would help me pick what shirt to wear."
Batman and Robin, you will be missed.

ava paige

Well, here's a sneak peek...She's lookin' right at ya! Last Wednesday I had my fantastic glucose test and another ultrasound. I had never had an ultrasound after 20 weeks, so it was neat to see how much she looks like a real baby! (And yes, he reconfirmed it is a she-After all the painting we've done I needed to hear it one more time!) We're both growing wonderfully and everything looks great! Natalie came with me to take a look at Ava in action and just as we were finishing up she turned to us and gave us a little smile! The doctor kept commenting on her chubby cheeks! I'm so excited to meet her but we've still got 11 weeks to go!
