pumpkin picking

Saturday we went pumpkin picking with all three Aunties and all three cousins (well, four cousins, technically Evan was there...). Charlie and I took the boys to Johansen Farm and let them roam through the piles of pumpkins. Logan loved it! He walked around and banged on the round pumpkins like they were drums. Logan was easy, we plopped him in front of the three dollar bin of little pumpkins and the first one he pointed to was the one! Carter searched and searched for the perfect pumpkin. Each one we showed him he said "No that's not the one!" It was tough convincing him which one was a good one - at 40 cents a pound we pointed out pumpkins that were just right for him, about ten pounds. Some of those were 20 or 25 pounds each! To be honest he seems to like ugly, bumpy, awkward, odd-looking pumpkins, preferably without dirt and with a long long stem. He had fun climbing the mountains of fat orange pumpkins. I think he took forever to choose one because he assumed we'd have to leave if he made a final decision. Anyway, here's a look at our day...
