School's out and my one day of summer vacation flew by when suddenly summer school started! I'm only working half days Monday through Thursday and the boys get to go to Grandma's every morning - Gramps loves having them around!
Charlie's been busy at work and is on week two of swimming lessons with Carter. The first two lessons didn't go so well. To quote Carter, "I was a cry-baby. I cried like a girl." Where'd he get that idea? Hmmmmm... This week we couldn't be more proud of him, jumping in off the edge onto a noodle and toward Charlie singing I'm a Little Fishie (yes, I witnessed Charlie singing I'm a Little Fishie!), going under for Ring Around the Rosie, putting his face in the water and high-fiving Daddy for every great accomplishment!
Speaking of Carter, he's now 3-and-a-half and the boy is the smartest little thing asking question after question every minute of the day. Why this, why that! The only way to stop him is to ask him, "Why do you think?" He always has an answer! He's really into imagining he's a fireman, hitting a baseball over the fence, digging in the mulch, his training wheels were recently adjusted, and he cruises in his Mustang with Logan.
Logan, Logan, Logan...now he is growing fast! He's recently into eating real people food munching on pieces of Carter's grilled cheese, fries, chicken and pasta. For a boy who didn't know what to do when a spoon of baby food was put up to his mouth from 4 to 9 months, he's really doing great with eating. You'd never know he wasn't interested in food after taking a look at his chubby legs! He's cruising around the house only hanging on to furniture with one hand half the time, crawls all over the yard (he too enjoys the woodchips!), could play in the tub for hours if we'd let him, and can get up the steps so quickly! When he grows up? Well, the boy's only 11 months but has been throwing a ball like a pro for awhile. Charlie's hoping for a left-handed pitcher in the distant future. Really, he's the sweetest thing and saves all of his kisses for Charlie or Gramps. It's hard to believe in just one month and a day we'll be celebrating his first birthday!
Anyway, that's just a little update so here are some recent pictures to enjoy!
